MIA

Sorry I've been a little MIA lately. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind! We had family in town over Presidents Day weekend. The night before they left I downloaded all my pictures from my camera to my EHD, which crashed a few minutes later (I had already deleted them from my camera too). I flew into panic mode trying to recover what I could and ultimately sending the drive into a data restoration specialist. The verdict came back that the drive was toast the cost to retrieve the data would be $650. Ouch! Because I had a back-up drive we opted not to restore it for now. However, I had done an incredibly poor job of backing up my data and everything from about Christmas on was lost.... including pictures of Christmas, my Dad's 50th party, and all my recent design files. :( I've been able to get copies of others pictures to fill in some of the gaps and have been reorganizing and restructuring my data. In the end it looks like we were able to get back about 80% of what I originally had. We were lucky.

During all that we've also been busy contending with a leaky washing machine, planning & hosting my daughters 3rd birthday party, keeping up with everyday life, and waiting for a very important LDS mission call for my little brother. (Which happen to come the same weekend as my daughter's birthday party. We literally threw the party and then jumped in the car to make the 2.5hr drive to my parents so we could be there when he opened it. {And in case you are wondering... he'll be serving in the Missouri Independence LDS mission. Yay!}) Crazy! I have one more event I'm helping with tonight and then I plan on sleeping.... and hopefully getting back to designing. :)
